What Bily is

Bily is an iPhone and iPad app that helps you write invoices and produce them as PDF documents. You write the document, you decide what it says and you send it yourself. Bily is a tool, not a party to anything between you and your customer.

Bily does not handle money

Bily does not collect, hold, transfer or chase payments. It prints the payment details you enter onto your invoice so your customer can pay you directly. If a customer does not pay you, that is between you and them, and we have no ability to help recover it.

Bily is not tax or legal advice

The country fields, tax calculations, CIS deduction and NDIS checks are there to help you produce a document in the usual shape for your country. They are not advice, and tax rules change. You are responsible for what your invoices say and for your own tax affairs. Check anything unusual with your accountant or your tax authority.

Subscriptions

Bily offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Bily Pro, which removes the invoice limit and the credit line in the document footer. Prices are set for each country by Apple; the amount shown in the App Store in your currency is the amount you pay. A free trial may be offered on a first subscription.

All subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account. Payment is taken when any free trial ends, and subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel or change a subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings under your name and then Subscriptions. We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf; refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms.

Your data, your responsibility

Your documents live on your own devices and in your own iCloud. We hold no copy, so we cannot restore anything for you. Export a PDF of anything you need to keep, and back your phone up the way you would for anything else on it.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bily to produce fraudulent or misleading documents, to claim for work that was not done, or to break the law in your country. Do not attempt to decompile the app or interfere with the services it talks to.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe

Bily is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost work, rejected claims or any indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Bily in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms, and if the change matters the date at the top changes. You can stop using Bily at any time by deleting it. We may stop providing the app, in which case any subscription is dealt with by Apple.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Utah, United States, and the courts of Utah have jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
